Obagi approached the agency to develop an ad for their Skin Care System. The media buy was in W Magazine, appealing to a luxury audience who would be the ideal customers for the Skin Care System. The brief requested a campaign that would stop the reader as they flipped the pages.
Our challenge as an agency was having to use an existing black-and-white shoot from the client. Since our visuals were limited, my writer and I came up with a provocative headline to get the attention of our audience.
The idea was simple, you don’t have to wear makeup after using Obagi. You can go naked since your skin would be so healthy. The body copy and before and after images then delved into the benefits of Obagi.
